As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they feel ready to take on the world. Our Foundations for Success and Wee Learn's program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Every child's development is unique and complex. Although children develop through a generally predictable sequence of steps and milestones, they may not proceed through these steps in the same way or at the same time. A child's development is also greatly influenced by factors in his or her environment and the experiences he or she has. Three-year-olds learn primarily through exploring, using all the senses. Through Builders Of The Faith Christian Preschool Foundations for Success and Wee Learn's independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, preschoolers develop early literacy, mathematics, science, and social skills.
Curriculum
Each activity in our early childhood education curriculum is designed to challenge students to their full potential through strong academic standards and a great foundation in biblical principles. We structure our childcare curriculum on helping children attain positive school readiness outcomes with a special emphasis on language and literacy development.
Much research has been done to decide what experiences young children need to have that will promote school readiness. Often the resultant ideas are written in the form of standards or goals that should be in place in child development programs. The standards or goals that we at Builders Of The Faith Christian Academy and Preschool use as a foundation are based on early literacy research.
